I just read a book for English called Cinnamon Rain, by Emma Cameron. I really liked it. I nearly didn't read it because of the way it was written. But I ended up reading because I had no books left.
An excerpt from my assignment is
Cinnamon Rain is written in a different style of
writing. The lines are set up in a nearly random order., it seems that the
lines are broken up where the reader would naturally pause. But whatever it is,
it is refreshing to read something that is different. Cinnamon Rain stands on a
line between poetry and prose, it’s really neither.
Sometimes I have thought that poetry or prose novels
can be rather restricting, but certainly not with Cinnamon Rain.
But if you see it in a library or bookstore, give it a go. I think it is nothing like the blurb.
